My commitment to promoting trustworthy AI comes from years of focusing on user-centered technology. This includes software development, enterprise quality, and executive leadership. I’m fortunate to use these experiences to support the integration of diverse functions, interests, and roles. As AI technology continues to advance and become more integrated into our daily lives, our mutual objective is to protect individuals and brands that use conversational AI technology by ensuring its ethical and trustworthy implementation. We accomplish this by advocating for and educating others on ethical and trustworthy open-source technologies, standards, and best practices.
ABOUT OUR WORK
Putting people before profits
Even though we’re a nonprofit, we’re not opposed to profit per se. Our volunteers are working to promote conversational AI that puts people first. We do this by educating and advocating to protect people’s legal and human rights and widely agreed upon practices until current policies, procedures, and laws catch up with rapid technological advancement, which at the moment is focused on generative AI.
Trust us. We’re busy people too!
We’re volunteers from a cross-section of professional experience and expertise in the US, Europe, and Latin America. including the technologically gifted who can help us process rapidly changing tech considerations. We don’t always agree, but we work it out by bringing in experts from industry and academia who have been great resources and supporters of this work. You’ll find our members at NIST meetings, private presentations,
public webinars, and open meetups, and our recommendations to policy makers to include a review of existing policies and laws when tech and humans exchange data through conversation.
On second thought, what better way to spend a little time than supporting a safe, fair, and sustainable generation of emerging technology?
